The Lagos State Police Command has rescued four teenagers and arrested a suspect alleged to have kidnapped them in the Surulere area of the state.
Spokesman of the Command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the development in a statement, said the teenagers had been reunited with their families.
He added that operatives from the Surulere Division of the Command carried out the arrest of the 51-year-old suspect, one Austin Kanu.
The Spokesman said the victims were between the ages of 16 and 18, stressing that they were discovered on Saturday in an isolated area within the National Stadium, Surulere.
Hundeyin also explained that the Chief Security Officer of the stadium discovered the teenagers while on routine patrol and alerted the police. He explained that preliminary investigation indicated that the suspect lured the victims from Ogba and Agege areas to Surulere.
The Spokesman however urged citizens to be vigilant and report any suspicious happenings to security agencies.
