The Confédération Africaine de Football, CAF, in partnership with International Federation of Professional Footballers, FIFPRO, has successfully concluded a two-day safeguarding and player-centric wellness workshop as part of the CAF “Protect the Dream” program.

This initiative was held ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League Morocco 2024 kick-off, reflecting CAF’s continued commitment to empowering female players with the knowledge and resources essential for a safe and sustainable career in football.

The workshops, held at team hotels in Casablanca and El Jadida, provided a comprehensive, interactive platform for players to learn about safe football practices, health awareness for female athletes, and planning for post-playing careers.

Each team attended individual sessions tailored to their needs, allowing players to engage comfortably in discussions on these crucial topics.

CAF Head of Women’s Football Development, Meskerem Tadesse Goshime, expressed pride in the initiative’s success.
