The Kaduna State Police Command has beefed up security to ensure a peaceful and safe holiday season in the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Abdullahi, affirmed the command’s determination to maintaining peace and order throughout the festive season.
Spokesperson for the Command, ASP Mansir Hassan, who made this known in a statement in Kaduna, noted that proactive measures have been put in place to address potential security challenges and to reassure citizens of their safety during and after the period of celebration.
According to him, the command has deployed special units, including the Anti-Kidnapping Unit, Anti-Vice Section, Commissioner of Police Monitoring Unit, and Operation Fushin Kada, to strategic locations within the state.
The statement also warned the public, especially youths, to avoid actions that could disrupt peace and security, specifically cautioning against the use of banned items like “fireworks and knockouts” that can cause fear or unrest.
