Katsina State police, has neutralised two terrorists and recovered weapons while repelling an attack on Yasore, Batsari Local Government Area of the State.
The police Command’s spokesperson, Gambo Isah, revealed this to newsmen in Katsina, indicating that the terrorists in their numbers, attacked Yasore village, shooting sporadically with AK-47 rifles.
He stated that the divisional police officer Batsari, led a combined team of police and vigilante group to the area and engaged them in a fierce gun duel, and successfully repelled the attackers.
While scanning the scene after the encounter, Isah noted that the team recovered two corpses of neutralised terrorists, two AK 47 rifles and five magazines, 97 pieces of 7.62 millimetre ammunition of AK 47 rifles among other others.
