A police inspector has been arrested and is facing internal procedures for allegedly killing a 28-year-old cleric in Igando area of Lagos.
Lagos state police spokesperson, Bala Elkana, in a statement said inspector Okoro Charles was arrested in connection with a shooting incident in which one Fatai Oladipupo died.
The spokesman added that the Wednesday shooting along Obabiyi, Igando road, resulting in the arrest of Inspector Charles of Ikotun Division.
“As we speak, the alleged person, is subjected to internal disciplinary procedures, known as Orderly Room Trial at the State Provost Department and if found guilty.
“He will be handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department Yaba for prosecution in conventional Court,” says Elkana.
While condoling the family and friends of the deceased, Elkana called for calm and assured them of justice.
