Today Gunmen invaded the Police Station at Ekori community of Yakurr with weapons and attacked the officers,
The assault happened in Ekori in the Yahuu Local Government Area in cross river state.
The alleged gunmen took away one AK-47 after beating up policeman on duty says eye witness.
The Police Station which was attacked is located at Ekori community of Yakurr and the gunmen scared away the officers on duty, beat one to an unconscious state of mind and got away with his AK-47 rifle as the witness claimed.

It was acknowledged that the ambush led to the closure of the Ekori Police Station till further notice and officers were ordered to move to Ugep Divisional Police, at the local government headquarters.
This is the third time within two months police stations were attacked in the cross rivers, and officers of the Nigeria Police Force have suffered attacks which have result to the loss of four police officers lives in the state.
