The Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress APC, Muhammadu Buhari has defeated his main challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP to win Gombe State, in the Presidential election conducted on Saturday.
Buhari scored a total of 402,961 votes in the results of all the 11 local government areas officially announced by the state Collation Centre Officer and Vice Chancellor of the Modibbo Adama University of Technology, Yola, Kyari Mohammed.
On the other hand, his main challenger, Atiku Abubakar of the PDP polled 138,484 in the state.
With the final results announced from the 11 Local
Government Areas of the state, Buhari got 73 per cent of the total valid votes,
while Atiku got 25 per cent with other parties sharing 2 per cent.
