Governorship Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Kaduna, Isa Ashiru Kudan, has pledged to fight insecurity in the State in his first year in office, if elected in the 2023.

He made the vow during an interface with Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association, in Kafanchan. He stressed that it is important to secure and unite the state as there can be no development without peace.

Ashiru also promised to be fair and equitable in the distribution of projects across the state, adding that he would set up a committee to review the mass sack of civil servants by the present administration.

On his part, the Association’s Chairman, Apostle, Emmanuel Kure, said the meeting was convened to allow candidates who could not attend the initial interface in September.

He also explained that the engagements with the governorship candidates would enable the Church to make informed decisions on the candidate to support in the forthcoming 2023 elections.

The Christian clergy listed agriculture, education, infrastructure, health, traditional institutions, political appointments and security as areas the candidates were expected to highlight.
