A record high of 117 new cases of COVID-19 in a day has been in Nigeria, the country’s Centre for Diseases Control, NCDC has confirmed.
This brings to 782 the total confirmed cases of COVID-19 including 25 deaths in the West African Country.
Lagos State still has the highest figure with 430 confirmed cases, followed by the Abuja with 118 cases. Kano is on third position with 73 cases.
New cases recorded in the three states are 59, 29 and 14 respectively.
A breakdown of the newly confirmed cases in 8 states as announce by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Tuesday night shows thus:
- 59 in Lagos
- 29 in FCT
- 14 in Kano
- 6 in Borno
- 4 in Katsina
- 3 in Ogun
- 1 in Rivers
- 1 in Bauchi
This bring to 782, the confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria, among which were 197 Discharged, 25 Deaths while 560 are still in isolation.
