President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has established the Presidential Economic Coordination Council, PECC in efforts to re-engineering the nation’s economic governance framework.
He also created the Economic Management Team Emergency Taskforce, EET, which was approved by the Federal Executive Council, FEC.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, while announcing the two economy-focused initiatives in a statement, said the PECC, which will be chaired by Tinubu, will consist of 31 members, made up of key government officials and members of the organized private sector.
Ngelale explained that the setting up of the PECC and the EET is a strategic move to bolster the nation’s economic governance frameworks and ensure robust and coordinated economic planning and implementation.
