In a recent site visit, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), personally assessed the ongoing FCT Highway 105 project. This critical road, spanning 11 kilometers, is a six-lane dualization connecting the Airport Expressway to Kuje town junction. The project is being diligently executed by Arab Contractors.

During the inspection, the FCT Minister, Wike expressed his contentment with the project’s quality and affirmed the contractor’s unwavering commitment to completing it within the stipulated timeline. He emphasized that all potential challenges hindering progress have been effectively addressed.

The Minister said, “You can see with your eyes that the work is going on very well. With the quality of work we saw, we are very satisfied. The contractor has said that before the end of the year, they would have completed the project. That will be interesting news. It gladdens our heart that we are meeting our targets”.

Additionally, the Minister also surveyed the 5-kilometer Emergency Asphalt Carriageway, extending from Tipper Garage junction to the LEA Secretariat in Kuje Area Council. He expressed similar satisfaction with the road’s quality and reiterated that it too would be fully completed by the close of 2024.

He said, “I am very satisfied. If you know when we came here to flag off this particular road, which was the request of the stakeholders of the Kuje Area Council, they were the ones that nominated this road and it is about five kilometers.

The FCT Minister’s proactive oversight underscores the importance of these infrastructure developments in enhancing connectivity and mobility within the region.
