The renovation cash is part of the two point-five trillion naira capital project provision which is to be carried out by the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA.
The lawmakers also permitted is one billion naira for the amendment of the Constitution, expected to begin early next year.
The National Assembly Director of Information, Rawlings Agada said only the FCDA could speak on the renovation of the complex and the sum voted.
The Director of Information, who noted that the National Assembly’s structure needed attention, doubted if thirty-seven billion naira would be enough for the job to be done.
Earlier, the Speaker House of Representatives Femi Gbajabiamila had raised the alarm over the decaying National Assembly building.Also, Senate President, Ahmad Lawan is expected to inaugurate members of the Constitution Review Committee early next year, to enable them conclude the assignment on
