Some terrorists have killed over 20 farmers in Gidan-Goga of Maradun local government area of Zamfara state.
A resident who pleaded anonymity, said the bandits attacked the farmers, who were busy cultivating their farms on Wednesday, and attempted to kidnap some of them, but having realised that the farmers began running helter-kelter, they began to shoot them one after the other.
He however called on Federal and state governments to quickly come to their rescue.
Spokesperson, Zamfara State police command, ASP Yazid Abubakar, who also confirmed the incident, however said nine persons were killed, and five others injured.
