The Senate has approved the sum of 633.39 billion naira as budget for the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC for the 2022 fiscal year, following the consideration of a report by the Committee on Communications on Wednesday during plenary.
Chairperson of the Committee, Oluremi Tinubu, explained that the Commission’s Revenue of 633.3 billion naira consisted of Annual Licensing Fees, Annual Operating Levy, Spectrum Fees Charges, Numbering Plan, Administrative Charges, Type Approval Fees and Sanction Fees. Others included; Sundry Income 5 million naira, Federal Government Intervention for Broadband Infrastructure – 41.6 billion naira and Transfer from Reserve – 1 billion naira.
