Bandits’ attacks in three local government areas of Katsina State have led to the deaths of two persons, kidnapping of 17 and the rustling of a number of cattle.
It was leant that at Kandawa village of Batsari Local government Area, two persons identified as Malam Basiru and Sanusi Dan Almajir were reportedly killed.
The District Head of Batsari Malam Tukur however pleaded with the villagers to accept the act as the will of God and promised to seek security intervention, which made the villagers to return with the corpses for burial.
Also, on Wednesday, in Zakka village of Safana Local Government Area 17 women were kidnaped.
The state’s Police Spokesman Gambo Isah however, said only nine people were not seen so far as eight had been recovered through police and repentant bandits operation.
In a similar vein, Damari village of Sabuwa local government was also attacked with over 40 cows rustled.
