The President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki has wished winners of the Presidential and National Assembly election in Kwara “best of luck.’’
In statement issued by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Yusuph Olaniyonu, in Abuja, Saraki said he did so in spite of the “reported inadequacies’’ in the election.
According to him, while the election is generally peaceful, there were inadequacies.
He alleged that card readers were not used in over 70 per cent of the polling units, while multiple voting, over-voting and other discrepancies were reported by agents of Peoples Democratic Party across the state.
The senate president said the state chapter of PDP would take a position on the right response to the inadequacies.
He
urged the electorate to vote for PDP’s candidates in March 9, Governorship and
House of Assembly election.
