Heavily armed Police operatives on Friday morning dispersed BuhariMustGo protesters in Abuja.

The police stormed the Airport road venue of the protest and thwarted
the October 1 planned mega protest firing tear gas canisters into the air
to disperse the protesters.

According to an eyewitness, the protest began around 6am and was
going on smoothly before the arrival of the police.

The protesters, who were mainly youths, were chanting: “President
Muhammadu Buhari must go” while also calling for revolution.

The #RevolutionNow and #BuhariMustGo protest in Abuja coincides
with the nation’s 61st Independence anniversary.
Normalcy has since returned to the capital city.
