Few hours to Saturday’s presidential and National Assembly elections, the United Kingdom has urged the Independent National Electoral Commission to be impartial in the elections.
In a broadcast aired on Friday on the verified Twitter handle of the British High Commission in Nigeria, the British High Commissioner to the country, Catriona Laing advised Nigerians not to be discouraged to vote again due to the postponement of the elections.
Laing said as a long-time friend and partner of Nigeria, the UK would play its part in the elections, saying they have over 60 observers in 15 states to monitor the elections.
She urged INEC and security agencies to remain impartial during the exercise.
