The Ondo State Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi has resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress, APC and also picked People’s Democratic Party, PDP membership card.
Ajayi quits his membership at his Ward-2 in Apoi, Ese Odo Local Government Area of the state, as he is expected to officially defect to the PDP today, Monday at the party’s secretariat in Akure.
The Deputy Governor’s resignation from APC had put an end to the assumption trailing his planned defection. He however, thanked the APC in the state for the opportunity to serve.
It was reported the correlation between Ajayi and Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu had become frigid over the last couple of months.
The Ondo State governorship election is scheduled for October 10th.
