Nigeria has recorded 436 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number now 20,244 in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC through its official Twitter handle said the 436 new confirmed cases were recorded in 19 states with 12 deaths.
It added that Lagos reported the highest number with 169 new cases and Oyo was second with 54 new infections.
Other states includes Plateau with 31 cases; Imo 29; Kaduna recorded 28 cases while Ogun has 23; FCT 18; Enugu 18; Bauchi 17; Bayelsa 14; Rivers 8; Osun and Kano states recorded 6 cases each; while Edo and , Benue have 5 each; Adamawa 3; Borno 2; while Abia and Ekiti states recorded 1 cases each.
The Centre also explained that out of the 20,244 confirmed cases, 12, 847 are active while 6,879 persons have been treated and discharged, with 518 deaths from 35 states and the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
