The Nigerian Army has reiterated its commitment to carry out its constitutional obligation without compromising on the security of the country.

Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya made the pledge at the commissioning of the civil-military cooperation road project in the Ka’oje area, Bagudo local government area of Kebbi State.

He also noted the Army has been carrying out quick impactful projects through its interventions in communities across the country in an effort to strengthen its relationship with the people. Yahaya said he was in Ka’oje for the commissioning of the project, executed by the Director, Procurement Office of the Chief of Army Staff, Major-General Nasiru Usman-Mukhtar.

The Army Chief added that the one-kilometre road was commissioned in order to alleviate the hardship being faced by the people in the area.

Earlier, Usman-Mukhtar urged the benefiting community to utilise the road in order to improve their agricultural activities in the area.

Also speaking, Governor Bagudu, commended Yahaya and the Nigerian Army for complementing the efforts of the state government in providing infrastructure facilities in the state.
