The Senior Staff Association Of Statutory Corporations And Government-Owned Companies, an affiliate of the Trade Union Congress of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC, have begun an indefinite strike over failure of the management to address certain issues regarding the welfare of its members.
In the communique issued on October 4, 2024, the aggrieved workers said the move was necessary after several borders around promotions, salaries, and the general welfare of the staff, failed to yield positive results.
The communique listed several issues such as; Review of 2024 Promotion Examination Results, Appointment of Directors for Public Affairs/Special Duties, Training Institute, North West and North East extractions, among others.
