Paris Saint-Germain maestro, Kylian Mbappé, has accepted the responsibility for their UEFA Champions League exit on Tuesday. In the semi-final tie against Borussia Dortmund, the French side lost 1-0 at home in the second leg, resulting in a 2-0 aggregate defeat.
Mbappé also acknowledged that missed chances played a role in the outcome of the match. Despite having over 60% ball possession and 30 shots in total in the second leg, PSG could only hit the woodwork four times.
“I tried to help my team as best as I could, but I didn’t do enough.”
“When things are good, I take all the limelight and when they are not, you have to take the shadow, that’s not a problem.
“The first one who should have scored tonight was me. That’s life and we have to move on, together with the team,” Mbappé said game in Paris.
