Katsina Students Represent Nigeria, Win Debate In Malaysia – SUBEB

The Katsina State team that represented Nigeria at the International Debate Championship in Malaysia has emerged winner of the competition after beating the host Malaysian team.

The Katsina team secured the ticket to represent Nigeria after becoming runners up at the 2021 Presidential Inter-Schools debate championship in Lagos.

The spokesperson of Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB Aminu Badaru said this in a statement issued to newsmen in Katsina.

He said that the debate was conducted on current affairs, especially the Russia-Ukraine crisis, Public and Private schools and also on multi party systems of government.

Badaru added that, six students from Junior Secondary Schools, JSSs in the state represented Nigeria at the competition, out of which four were females.
