The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF has warned Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL players against signing attestation forms if they are owed money by clubs.
They were contained in a recent circular issued by CEO of NPFL, Davidson Owumi following players’ protests over unpaid allowances and salaries over the years.
According to the circular, clubs are released from liability for arrears payable when players sign the attestation form.
Player who signs the attestation document discharges his club of liability for overdue payables to clear a pathway for registration.
Meanwhile, the date for the kick off for the upcoming season is yet to be announced.
