The Chairman, Kaduna state Peace Commission Archbishop Josiah Idowu-Fearon has expressed concern over the challenges of insecurity in some parts of the state.
Idowu-Fearon made the expression in Kaduna while speaking at a press conference on Peaceful and Harmonious Coexistence in Kaduna. He urged the people of the state to support security agencies and other stakeholders towards addressing the criminality in the state.
According to the chairman, the challenges of insecurity are most prevalent in Birnin Gwari as well as some parts of Chikun, Igabi, Kachia, Kajuru, Kagarko and Kauru Local Government Areas.
Idowu-Fearon said the peaceful outcome of the general elections in the state was as a result of the synergy between the people and security agencies. He observed that although peace had returned to some areas that witnessed conflict in the southern senatorial zone, efforts must be focused in areas where new confrontations were emerging.
He urged all stakeholders to support the committee in delivering its mandate of building peace in the state, saying all must resist temptations to act violently.
