Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has warned of the threat posed by the lack of opposition in Nigeria to unite and dislodge the All Progressives Congress, APC from power.
Atiku in a message issued to mark the occasion of the nation’s Democracy Day, also blamed the ruling party for the current gloom pervading the country.
He stressed that democracy is worthy of celebration and commendation must go to the people of the country,
The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the 2023 election however, congratulated the political class for having embraced the rectitude of nurturing a democracy, as well as civil society. He stressed that it is vital that all stakeholders continue to do their bit to ensure the sustainability of the nation’s democracy. The Former Vice President, however, said democracy is not yet virile if it continually fails to deliver the promises of prosperity and liberty to the people
