The FCT Minister Mallam Muhammad Musa Bello has lead a delegation of the FCT Administration on a congratulatory visit to Senator Abubakar Kyari, Who recently assumed office as the new Deputy National Chairman (North) of the All Progressive National Congress (APC).
In his Address the FCT Minister said, We have come here as a team to show our deep appreciation on how you have driven the affairs of the FCT Senate Committee and how closely you have worked with myself, the minister of state, the chief of staff and all other senior management staff while serving as the Chairman Senate Committee on the FCT.
The FCT Minister added by saying that “The Gold Fish has no hiding place.”
He said for those of us who have known you for quite some time, know that you are well positioned to assume this responsibility. You have served as a public officer in various capacities, this makes you better prepared for the task ahead and makes you a better politician.
The FCT Minister expressed appreciation of the FCT Administration to senator Abubakar Kyari for his commitment to the development of the Federal Capital Territory while he served as chairman senate committee on FCT.
Senator Abubakar Kyari while responding expressed gratitude to God, he revealed how he had mixed feelings especially at a time the senate committee has laid down measures to bring about a lot of beneficial changes in the FCT.
He mentioned the Greater Abuja water project and Karshi water project as some of the legacies under the present FCT Administration.
He hailed the Bello-led FCT Administration for completing already existing infrastructures and laying foundations for new projects. He conclude by saying that Abuja’s Medical City when completed can be compared with that of Dubai Medical City.
In company of the FCT Minister were the permanent secretary, Mr. Olusade Adesola, chief of staff to the Minister Mallam Bashir Mai-Bornu the executive secretary FCDA Engr. Shehu Hadi Ahmed, mandate secretaries, senior aides to the Minister and other top management officials of the FCTA.
