The nation’s power generation dropped to about three thousand, three hundred megawatts as seven plants, including three built under the National Integrated Power Project sat idle.
Electricity generation has been hovering around two thousand six hundred megawatts and three thousand eight hundred megawatts every day, since the start of this month, according to data obtained. It plunged to about two thousand six hundred megawatts on June 7.
Data from the Nigeria Electricity System Operator, an arm of the Transmission Company of Nigeria, showed that total generation fell slightly to about three thousand, four hundred.
The amount of electricity produced by the nation’s twenty seven power plants stood at three to eight hundred megawatts, the highest level achieved so far this month at that time of the day.
