The Appeal Court sitting in Kaduna will soon communicate to parties
involved through their counsels, the day it will set aside for the
Judgement on a case brought before it by Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the last governorship election in the state Isa Ashiru Kudan on the need to recount votes cast in the last governorship election in the state.
The panel of five judges presided over by Justice Husaini Muktar, stated this during the court sitting today thursday.
During the sitting, counsel to the first and second appellant, Isa Ashiru Kudan and PDP respectively; Emanuel Ukala SAN told the court that it is part of justice to determine number of votes cast. He added that they had earlier filed similar case on the need to recount votes before the tribunal but was dismissed.
Speaking in the same vein, counsel to the second defendant governor Nasiru Ahmed El-rufai, Emmanual Ochokwunu and counsel to the third defendant APC Sharafa Yusuf had urged the court to dismiss the case.
Meanwhile Justice Husaini Muktar promised to do their best honestly and sincerely and in accordance with the laid down rules of law and solicit for the cooperation of various counsel to succeed. is�2}F82%
