The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) chairman of the Taraba state chapter, Peter Jediel, was kidnapped from his residence last Sunday in Sunkani, the administrative headquarters of Ardo-Kola local government council, leaving his family in panic as his abductors are demanding the sum of N11 million ransom from them.

It was confirmed that his recent abduction gathered was within the period of six months and that was his second from the same spot.

A family source who spoke with a reporter over the telephone said, the people who kidnapped the NLC boss have called. They are demanding for N11 million before they can set him free.

According to the reporter, his abductors have also vowed to take nothing less than the amount they demanded for. Aware of the development, the police confirmed that they are not easing on their part in to secure the release of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) labour leader unharmed.

A source from the command who chose anonymity stated that we have not been at rest since all these days because we have been working round to get him free from his abductors, he also added that even Jalingo, our state capital is no longer safe, some of us have resolved to mount pressure on him to relocate from Sunkani to this place as soon as he regains his freedom.
