On the 4th of May 2020, 245 new confirmed cases and 6 deaths were recorded in Nigeria.
NCDC said Nigeria recorded her highest daily number of Covid-19 cases as the Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) reported 245 new cases. This brings the country’s total number of cases to 2802, coming dangerously closer to the 3,000 mark.
Lagos continues its dominance on the daily update with 76 new cases, bringing its total to 1,183. This means the nation’s commercial capital now has 42.2% of total Covid-19 cases in Nigeria.

Kano remains second on the log with a total of 365 Covid-19 cases after a daily tally of 23. Abuja comes a distant third with a total of 297 cases. Both Kano and Abuja account for 23.6% of the national total.
Borno becomes only the fourth state to get at least 100 cases as its new 18 cases rounds its total coronavirus cases to 100. Fellow northeastern state of Gombe isn’t far behind with 96 total cases
Till date, 2802 cases have been confirmed, 417 cases have been discharged and 93 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
