There was apprehension at Living Faith Church, Sabon Tasha in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State following the discovery of a bag in the church with suspected explosives left by a youngster during Sunday service today.
The boy identified as Nathaniel Samuel was said to have sneaked into the church along with other worshippers, left the bag with the pretense of going to ease himself.
A worshiper was said to be suspicious after the youngster did not return on time and opened the bag he left behind only to see suspicious items in it.
This alarmed the worshippers when the man raised alarm, and the congregation launched a hunt for the said Nathaniel Samuel. He was said to be found in a toilet fidgeting with a remote control sensor purportedly meant to detonate what he had in the bag.
The Police were called in and promptly whisked him away.
When contacted by Liberty News, Kaduna Police Command Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police, DSP Yakubu Sabo said the command was informed of the identity of the said Nathaniel Samuel arrested with items suspected to be explosives.
He said the Police were investigating the issue and would issue a statement later.
