The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF says Augustine Eguavoen can continue as the keep the national team Coach on a permanent basis if he desires.

Eguavoen take over as on an Interim basis after Coach Gernot Rohr’s contract was terminated in December.

The 56-year-old has so far impressed at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON with the Eagles winning all their Group-D matches.

He is however supposed to hand over to Jose Peseiro after the AFCON.

Eguavoen is currently the NFF Technical Director, but the football house would allow him handle both roles.

IN another development, First Bank female Basketball team of Lagos on Thursday crushed Kada Angels 53-42 to cruise into the finals of the ongoing Mark-D Basketball Championship.

The first semi-final match played at the indoor hall, package B,  Moshood Abiola National Stadium, saw First Bank winning all the four quarters of the match.

Kada Angels’ Coach, Daddy Lawan said his players did well even though they lost their game to a better side.
