Senate President, Bukola Saraki, says the senate will commence debate on the general principles of the 2019 Appropriation Bill.
Saraki, who made the announcement at the plenary on Tuesday said the debate would end on March 19th.
He also urged the lawmakers to put their names on the plenary register for compilation to ensure orderly debate.
The Second Reading of the 2019 Budget was suspended due to Christmas break, and the need to create space for the 2019 General Elections.
The
sum of 8.73 trillion naira was presented
to the joint parliamentary session by President Muhammadu Buhari on December
19, 2018.
