Troops conducting Operation Sharan Daji in Zamfara State have killed twenty three bandits and arrested eighteen suspected informants, cattle rustlers, kidnappers and logistics suppliers.
The Acting Force Information Officer, Operation Sharan Daji, Major Clement Abiade, said in a statement that the troops carried out several air strikes around Kagara, Gando, Fankama, Fete and Dumburum forests.
Also arrested was a notorious kidnapper Muhammed Iso, who was intercepted in Niger Republic through collaboration with the security forces in that country.
