The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has confirmed the omission of the acronym of the All Progressives Congress, APC on the results sheets for today’s Governorship and House of Assembly elections in Zamfara state.
The Commission’s National Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony in a dated March 8tt said the omission was as a result of the legal tussle that trailed the primaries of the APC in the state.
INEC in the letter, addressed to all chairmen of political parties in the state, said APC was included in the ballot papers for the elections.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state Asmau Maikudi, said they have been directed to insert the APC acronym with biro.
