The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Diaspora Affairs, Abike Dabiri on Monday expressed hope towards an end to the killings of Nigerians in South Africa.
She said the issue of xenophobia and the bi-lateral relationship between both countries will be discussed by both President Buhari’s and President Cyril Ramaphosa during the visit.
Abike recalled that the President of Nigeria during his recent visit to Nigeria assured President Buhari that Nigerians were not the target and that the crime rate in his country is high and that efforts are ongoing to ensure that South Africa is safe for everyone.
She added that although South Africa has taken steps to contain the attacks, “One of the things Nigerians are now asking of is that we get the outcome of investigations.
The relationship between Nigerian and South Africa has been debated widely, especially concerning the Xenophobia attacks in the country.
They will also discuss building and developing Africa to be one of the best continents.
