An eco-friendly technology company, CANs Park has advocated for technological solutions to curtail climate change in Nigeria.

Managing Partner of the organisation Olajide Abiose, made the call in a statement, in Lagos, in commemoration of the 2021 World Habitat Day, marked annually on October 4 by the United Nations, UN to reflect on the state of towns and cities, as well as on the basic right of all to adequate shelter. The 2021 theme is: “Accelerating urban action for a Carbon-free world”.

He stressed that there was need for public and private collaboration in empowering new and existing innovations in the area of sustainable urbanisation in Africa.

Abiose, also emphasised the need for more robust investments, through venture capital funding and collaborative efforts, to curb the effects of climate change.
