World Cup Qualifier: Nigeria Goalkeeper Maduka Okoye To Miss Ghana Clash

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye will miss Nigeria’s world cup qualifier match against Ghana on Friday.

Nigeria Football Federation NFF said the Sparta Rotterdam goalkeeper will not feature in the match due to illness.

Okoye, who was Nigeria’s number one at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations AFCON, has been replaced by Eyimba FC goalkeeper John Noble.

Other goalkeepers in the Nigerian camp are Kaizer Chiefs’ Daniel Akpeyi and Omonia’s Francis Uzoho.

Leceister City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi will also miss both legs of the match against Ghana due to injury.

He was replaced by Lorient midfielder Innocent Bonke.

Meanwhile, 20 players have arrived the Nigeria Super Eagles camp for the World Cup qualifier.
