The Federal Government is set to build an efficient, productive and incorruptible citizen-centred workforce.
The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour and Employment, Williams Alo said this while addressing the plenary of the Centenary Session of the International Labour Conference, ILC in Geneva, Switzerland, with the theme “Work for a Brighter Future.”
According to Alo, there is concerted effort to create an efficient, productive, incorruptible and citizen-centred workforce anchored on professionalism, enterprise content management system, entrepreneurship culture and enhanced welfare package for employees.
The Permanent Secretary added that Nigeria agreed with the ILO that labour, being the most critical factor of production, should be the fulcrum of economic and social policies for a just, fair, equitable and egalitarian society.
He said that the Federal Government had inaugurated and launched the 2017-2020 Federal Civil Service Strategy and Implementation Plan to improve and develop capacity in the public sector.
