William Samoei Ruto has been sworn in as the fifth Kenyan president
The new president’s oaths of office were administered by the chief registrar of judiciary.
Ruto’s rival, Raila Odinga, is not attending the ceremony after citing “serious concerns” about the election results.
The inauguration took place at a 60,000-seater stadium on the outskirts of the capital, Nairobi.
Among those attending the ceremony were presidents of regional neighbours.
