The Federal Government has pledged to nurture and strengthen its collaboration with Partners and stakeholders to reduce Under-Five Mortality Rate As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to commemorate the World Pneumonia and Prematurity Day,
The Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare Dr. Iziaq Adekunle Salako stated this during the Ministerial Press Briefing marking the Commemoration of the World Pneumonia and Prematurity Day at the Ministry’s headquarters office in Abuja.
The 2024 theme for World Prematurity Day is: ” Access to Quality Care Everywhere” and, that of Pneumonia Day Celebration “Championing the Fight to Stop Pneumonia”.
The Honourable Minister explained that the Commemoration has brought to the fore the strengthening of active collaboration between the Federal Ministry of Health & Social Welfare and partners to address preventable causes of child mortality in the country.
