Minister of Women Affairs, Pauline Tallen, has stressed the importance of enhancing Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics STEM education to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals SDGs
Tallen, while giving Nigeria’s statement at the ongoing 67th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women CSW67 in New York, said STEM has been a top priority for the Government of Nigeria.
In addition, Tallen highlighted the importance of harnessing the transformative power of information and communications technology for development globally.
The minister also said that for the first time, the Nigerian Government had adopted a gender-perspective budget approach in its Fiscal Plans, Policies, and projects.
