Bayern Munich’s manager, Thomas Tuchel, has expressed deep offense at the criticism leveled by the German club’s honorary president, Uli Hoeness.

As Bayern prepares to face Real Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final, the spotlight has shifted to Hoeness’ assertion that Tuchel, the former Chelsea boss, lacks the ability and desire to enhance players. According to Hoeness, Tuchel is solely focused on new signings.

Hoeness’ untimely remarks coincide with a petition signed by 20,000 Bayern fans, urging the club to reconsider their decision to part ways with Tuchel at the end of the season.

Tuchel responded firmly: “It offends me deeply as a coach. Over the past 15 years, our coaching team has consistently provided opportunities for young players, especially those from our academy. Their performance has always earned them a place on the pitch.”

He added, “We’ve proven this time and again. I find Hoeness’ claim baseless and far removed from reality. The fact that it comes from our boss before the Real Madrid match adds a different dimension.”

Despite media speculation, Hoeness remains steadfast in his stance, emphasizing Tuchel’s alleged shortcomings.
