The Tertiary Education Trust Fund TETFund has released the sum of one billion naira to the Federal University Lokoja to construct its Senate Building .
The Vice Chancellor of the university Olayemi Akinwumi, made this known during the commissioning of some projects he executed at Adankolo and Felele campuses of the institution.
Akinwumi described the release of the fund as “very timely” and “heart warming” considering the burning desire of his administration to improve on infrastructural development of the university.
The VC announced that with release of the 1 billion naira to the University, work on the Senate Building would soon commence “as all necessary arrangements have been concluded with the contractors.
Also speaking, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman Governing Council of the university, Chris Iheanyichukwu-Adighije, who inaugurated the projects, described the ongoing infrastructural development in the institution as “unprecedented.”
