Report says terrorists have kidnapped a nursing mother, her baby and an elderly man, Abubakar Garba Aliyu and his son, Salim Abubakar, two other persons in Zaria, Kaduna State.
It was gathered that the gunmen attacked the Tudun Mun-Tsira and
Hayin Liman villages of Zangon-Shanu, Samaru in Sabon-Gari Local
Government Area. Report added that the terrorists who rode motorbikes
took over the area with their guns from the backside of the University.
However, authorities are yet to comment on the incident.
In another development, the Niger State Government has pledged to
reward any person who gives credible intelligence on the activities,
movements and whereabouts of terrorists across the state. It has also
established a situation room for coordinating intelligence on the security
situation.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mary Noel-Berje stressed that the
security situation has become a nightmare in the state, adding that
government is doing its best to reverse the trend. She noted that the state
government, through the Commissioner for Local Government,
Chieftaincy Affairs and Internal Security announced the reward for those
who are ready to supply intelligence on the terrorists.
