An Abuja High Court has set 17th September for the prosecution of 400 suspects for alleged sponsoring of terrorism.


It was gathered that Justice Anwuli Chikere is expected to handle the
case.


It would also be recalled that the Presidency had in March stated the
arrest of the suspects, mostly Bureau De Change operators for
facilitating the transfer of money to Boko Haram terrorists.


Some Nigerians were said to be transferring the funds to the sect from
the United Arab Emirates, UAE in conjunction with the Bureau De
Change operators.


Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar
Malami, SAN had announced that arrangements had been concluded to
arraign the suspects who were arrested and interrogated by the State
Security Service, SSS.
