The Supreme Court has also adjourned hearing to March 2nd in the motion filed by former Zamfara state Governor Abdul’aziz Yari faction of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the State for a review of the court’s May 24, 2019 judgment, annulling the participation of candidates of the APC in the last elections in the state.

At the mention of the case today, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Mohammed Tanko, who led a five-man panel of the court, said it is impossible for the Apex Court to proceed to hearing because some of the parties have not been served.

Lawyer to the Yari faction, Robert Clarke, SAN lawyer to the Senator Gabiru Marafa faction of the APC in Zamfara, Mike Ozekhome, SAN and lawyer to INEC, Tanimu Inuwa, SAN agreed that an adjournment is necessary.
