The Kano State Government has approved 98 million naira for the procurement of kits for 1,792 registered football clubs in the state.

The state Commissioner for Information,   Muhammad Garba in a statement in Kano said the items will be distributed to 1,792 registered football teams include, sets of jerseys; two sets of goalkeepers jersey for teams; pieces of bags, pieces of jotters and two pieces of balls per team.

The Commissioner explained that other approvals granted by the state Executive Council include the asphaltung NNDC Quarters road at 48.85 million naira; 24.5 million naira to procure vehicles for Government House Press Crew, and 19.4 million naira for rehabilitation and training of drug dependant youth at the Kano Reformatory Institute, Kiru.
